Manchester’s wunder fuzz quartet have been on the circuit for over five years bringing the reverberating sounds of heavy rock ‘n’ roll across the UK. From supporting the likes of Flat Worms, Slift, Luminanas, C.O.F.F.I.N, CLAMM and a tour with Aussie punks Mini Skirt, to writing and recording music for Sounds of Red Bull in early 2023 the band have been busy bringing it fast and loud for all. After two EPs released with Swedish label PNKSLM and a double single released with the Australian Third Eye Stimuli, a blistering third EP has been created out on home territory in Manchester with garage-psych flag holders Sour Grapes Records.
This third EP is undoubtedly Mister Strange’s truest representation. A refined body of work that feels as palpitating as it is true to whatever it is they see as love. The latest release caught the attention of music pioneer Marc Riley which saw the band head to
BBC 6 Music studio for a live session in May 2024.
With appearances in notable publications like Clash magazine and Louder Than War as well as music released on several continents, the band are slowly but surely peering through to a larger worldwide audience. References from reviews and alike sit in a forgiving realm between Black Sabbath, The Stooges, Thee Oh Sees and Hawkwind.
With no signs of slowing down and an appetite for staying on the road, Mister Strange are here for the long haul.
